Discover Beijing This Summer
May 15 - May 29
Not All Business, Not All Culture... But The Perfect Mix of Both
The Wharton China Business Society Summer Program will provide interested students a chance to visit Beijing during a two-week trip where they will be able to explore both the business and cultural side of China's capital city. While Beijing is China's center for culture and politics, being the home to notable historic sites, it is also home to many international and local businesses that should be of interest to students looking to work in Asia.
Learn Firsthand From Business Leaders About China's Unique Business Environment
The Wharton China Business Society Summer Program aims to give students a better understanding of the fundamental underpinnings of Chinese society through cultural immersion and an introduction to China's business environment. Students will gain exposure to various industries like finance, healthcare, law, media, telecommunications and others, through company visits and university visits. The list of companies includes multinational corporations as well as local businesses and stated-owned enterprises. Each tour and professional event on the trip is led by executive members of the firm. In the past, we have visited firms such as UBS, Air China, China Netcom, Morgan Stanley, etc.
Explore The Cultural and Social Side of China
Students will have the chance to explore the cultural and social side through guided excursions to Beijing's numerous landmarks and historical sites such as Forbidden City and the Great Wall. This trip is therefore a great way for students to explore all facets of China.
